My MBP won't turn on properly. Every time I press the power button the computer turns on but instantly goes into sleep mode. I have tried restarting a lot of times and I have let it stay on in sleep mode for a while, nothing seems to work. I have had the problem occassionally where my MBP won't wake from sleep but it usually works after I restart it.

Is there anything I can do to get my MBP working properly?

I would try the following:
1. Take out the battery and then hold down the power button for 30 secs or so to drain all power left
2. Put the battery back in and hit the power button
3. Hold down command+option+P+R as soon as you hear the chime-this will reset your PRAM
4. Hope that one of these works lol
Good Luck
