So I have a Macbook the white Unibody and my mic has stopped picking up my voice. I noticed it during Skype that no one could hear me. Thought it was my settings and checked that so I started to google it. My preferences under sound doesn't seem to help. The mic works it picks up my typing, moving, snapping my fingers but when I talk it barely registers. I can clic on things and the mic picks it up but voices won't come in. I noticed a recording I did was super quiet. What should I do?

So you've checked your volume level in the following?
System Preferences > Sound > Input > Internal microphone > Input volume
Have you also tried checking and unchecking "Use ambient noise reduction"?

Yah I tried that. It's very sensitive to anything on the body but won't pick up much noise from elsewhere. So in other words I can tap anywhere on the body and the mic sensor goes crazy but it kinda picks up me clapping and doesn't even register when I talk loudly.

Someone please help

I also need this problem to be fixed.. I've been doing the same things this man mentioned, but it still doesn't work..
