The Land of Hope and Glory
I have a Hyundai W240D 24" LCD monitor and it works perfectly in Windows Vista SP2 64 bit running under Boot Camp but when I restart the computer to use Mac OS X it only shows 1920 x 1080 as the maximum resolution rather than 1920 x 1200.

I have zapped the PRAM, repaired disk permissions and run fsck -f in single user mode and still the problem persists. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to fix this?

Thanks for any help.

This is most odd - the issue appears to be that your computer can't figure out that your monitor is a widescreen. Maybe there's a plist file somewhere that's causing the problem - if this is the case I'd look for it in the Library at the root of the drive.

Good call, I'll have a hunt around in a little bit. I've had to move over to Windows primarily because of this.

It is the first major problem I have had with a Mac in years.
