Well I'm very happy to say I've bought a 1.5GHz 12in PowerBook G4 from someone on here. I've been wanting a 12in PowerBook since I first found out about them around when I first got into PPC macs back in October. He said that it will be shipped out on Thursday and will hopefully get to me on Saturday. I'm extremely happy about this because as I stated above, I've always wanted one! XD

(Note to self: bad idea to buy a computer at 2:35AM because my excitement will keep me up all night...)

EDIT: I went and bought the 15in as well. All I need now is the 17in and I'll have the trifecta of PowerBook G4s!

You mean up all morning!! Anyhow, as I said in the GC congrats! I always look for 12" 1.5 GHz G4s and find some but never jump...

Alright smart alec... But anyway, thanks. I've never looked for one before because I just never got around to doing so, but I'm glad I jumped on this opportunity.

And another one of my Macs going out the door! Anyone else interested in some Apple stuff I need to cut down to less than 5 Machines

And bad idea to be up at midnight selling a computer when I have to work in 8 hours, no sleep is bad!

Congratulations. The 12" is not my cup of tea, but they are nice Macs. Very portable and not very heavy so being on the go with it should work well.

Thanks! It may be just a tad small, but I love the edge to edge keyboard, and the overall portability. It's just so... compact. Who knows, maybe I'll buy Gavin's 15in in the future, then all I'll need is the 17in and I'll have all three sizes in line of PBG4s. I'm not going to go into detail and buy each specific model like some member ;)

That'd be me lol. I've owned every model except the colorful iBook G3, TiBook, and the Xserve G4/G5.

In the Newer PPC mac era anyways. Intel I haven't owned quite everything!

Oh there's bunn too :D
Since I own every revision of the Graphite case style G4 ever made (instead of just one of the type), I have reason to believe that comment is also referring to me. :)

I'll one-up you and say that not only do I have all the graphite case types, but also have both the Quicksilver revisions and all three MDD revisions. I have multiple(factory) processor types in many of those revisions as well along with some aftermarket processors.

I still need to get examples of 15 and 17" non-DLSD Powerbooks, a 12" iBook G3, and a 14" iBook G4. Then, there's my quest to flesh out the G3 Powerbooks-I need a PDQ and a Kanga. I'd also like to find a higher-end Wallstreet than the one I have(the "Mainstreet" model).

Well, at least I can 1-up you on your selection of Yosemite-capable Intel Macs, right? :p (although a Mac Pro 1,1 would be nice)

I am looking for some laptop PPC Macs as well, although interestingly I have several of the models you need (15" G3 Wallstreet II/PDQ, 15" non-DLSD PowerBook G4 1.67).

Probably so :)

2x early '08 MBP(although one is leaving soon)
Mid '09 Macbook
Late '11 13" Macbook Pro
Mid-2012 15" Macbook Pro

Although unofficially the MP 1,1 can run Yosemite, and can do so fairly well.

All of my other Intel Macs except for my Mini can be hacked to run Yosemite, although I doubt it would be pleasant with the GMA 950. So, I wouldn't count those.

Besides that, why would I run Yosemite :) ? Mavericks all the way!

Where'd you find a 15" PDQ? :)

Whoops, meant 14", and left out the 266 MHz. That was the only screen size produced. :)

I figured you knew-just giving you a hard time :)

I actually have 10.11 running on my main(mid-2012) MBP and like it, although I'm too dependent on the computer now to do much more than boot and play with it occasionally.

You just wish you had one :D

My riMac is still on Yosemite since I generally don't touch my main Mac with betas. However, 10.11 is the main OS on my 13" rMBP, and it's shaping up to be a nice improvement over Yosemite, especially for older hardware like my late 2008 MacBook Air which also has it installed.

I've run Yosemite on that Mac Pro for a long time. Well worth the effort.

It's their size which makes them so attractive. I have two as well as a 15" and a 17" MBP (2007) and the 12" is perfect to go in my rucksack. Like you, I wondered about having one of each size and dithered for ages over a A1139 last week. In the end I let it go.

<snip> I'd also like to find a higher-end Wallstreet than the one I have(the "Mainstreet" model).

I got lucky with mine. Almost cherry condition, with good strong hinges, bright screen, and completely maxed out with 512mb RAM, 300 mhz processor, and DVD drive/card. All of this for $30 :)

I passed on a 550 mhz G4 Pismo, though, for $50 from the same seller. I should have grabbed it (*kicking myself*)...
