My mouse has stopped scrolling. It is really annoying. I know the trouble is not the mouse itself because I hooked to another Mac I have and it scrolled perfect. Here's the details:
Powermac G4/533 with 1.4 Ghz card. 1.25Gb ram. OS X.4.10. I am using the Mousezoom preference pane. I once installed SmartScrollX to attempt to smooth out the scrolling, which worked fine for a time. After several months running at this configuration, the scrolling became sporadic, as in it would scroll some of the time when I scrolled, but not smooth. Then, later, it quit altogether.
I tried deleting SmartScrollX and all the preference and system files I could find for it. No change. I am at a loss. Anyone?
