My music is everywhere.. how to get it all to itunes folder?

i just drag my music into itunes but now i want to back it up to external HD with all my edits i made on itunes (names,art...) how do i get itunes to create a folder? is it possiable? Thanks in advance

From the iTunes preferences.... change the iTunes folder location to your xHDD

Now go to Advanced (menubar) and Consolidate Library!

thanks! will my new names and info stay? it looks like the files are saving as the old names.
