I just got AT&T Uverse. It was a 9 hour installation process; mostly standing around while their Tier 2 tech support person on the phone figured out how to configure their gateway to allow my AEBS to handle the wireless and not get wireless from their gateway device.
Anyway, now that the install is complete, by connection speed is really no faster than my DSL was. According to speakeasy.com, my DSL was around 4800-5100k and my Uverse is around 5000-5200.
The uverse advertises speeds of "up to" 6000k, but they of course won't do anything for a connection that's nearly 6000k (like mine is). The tech said they'd only do something if it was significantly lower, like around 2000 or 3000.
I like the uverse overall, especially since I still have my AEBS, but I wish the speed were greater.
