Yes, Plus or Pro Max, at 50% higher price.

I think the 16 plus is actually a better phone. Why ? Smaller, lighter - noticeably. Benchmarks are in spitting distance and the differences no average person will notice.

The telephoto lens - I only need 2x and 12mp was all the rage a few years ago. Don't notice the difference between 60 and 120hz in the shop. The cpu is the pretty much the same. The screen brightness is the same. The battery is the same. I could go on. Oh yes, the phone colours are also nicer.

I think there is a guilt conscience from not getting the most expensive. This is the first year I have not got the top model. It feels good!

The screen is the big difference for me, I have gotten used to the 120hz version. I have the 13 Pro today so don't have the always on screen, but I do like the look of it. If the 17 has the 120hz screen I will prob go for the "regular" model as well next year.

All true except the price difference is 33% for the 128GB and 20% for the 256GB

This is the reason I just got my wife a 16 pro max. She needs 256 based on her use so the difference was down to $170 for all the improved features. Was a no brainer for me.

With phones and iPad 120Hz is a must. iPad Air with that shoddy 60Hz screen was painful to look at. Even the phones, the 16e felt so laggy I refused to use it / same with 16/16 Plus.

MacBook Pro wise I can dumb down the Promotion display to 60Hz on Low power mode and I can't tell the diff. aka less noticable/painfully obvious. seem like touch-sensitive devices is a must to have higher refresh rate....

If you can get past the 60hz it’s fine for most people.

Having had the 16PM (and every PM before that since the PM models were released) and now owning the 16 Plus - I cannot tell the difference at all

I don't game; but I do use it for watching YT, news, other stuff etc

I'd say for the majority of folk; the 16 Plus is about as much as is that's needed from an iPhone

I have a 12PM and my wife has a 13PM which has 120hz. I use it at times and I’m ok going back and forth. Not a huge deal.

I swapped my 16 Pro Max for a 16 Plus and couldn't be happier. The 16 Plus is so light and pleasant to hold, the complete opposite of the 16 Pro Max. Hope you enjoy it!

Sad to see iPhone Plus models going away this year. 16+ is great and light for its size

I’ve never cared about 60hz so I got the 16 Plus. The only thing I liked from Pro models is the 5x Zoom, pretty cool when I tried it.

Otherwise, battery life on the 16 Plus is insane. I’m ending the day with 80-90% battery life. I get about 27 hours. Heavier usage is close to 20 hours too, so more than enough. The camera is incredible vs my Xʀ (it finally has features!) and the rest is amazing, too. Night Mode, portrait for everything, the Ultra Wide. The Xʀ was unlucky as the 11 had everything, so it was a bit “underspecced” in that department.

I was running iOS 12 on my Xʀ so it’s a huge iOS update for me, as well. There is a huge difference in terms of camera (far more noticeable) and battery life (noticeable but not too relevant as I was getting 16-18 hours of light use and 12 hours of cellular, also more than enough).

I thought the larger Plus model would be uncomfortable to carry vs the Xʀ, but it isn’t (on most occasions) and I like the larger screen. The only comfort thing I finally lost is one-handed camera use. It’s impossible for me on the Plus. It was possible on the Xʀ. I’m almost dropping it every time I try.

Very pleased with my 16 plus other than pocket fitting when it’s just a little large. Still hard to get everything right

Do you buy a new iPhone each and every year? What phones make your collection?

No, far from new phones every year, its roughly every 3 years for me or when the battery has degraded to much. In this case I have relatives in line waiting for a used phone that keeps asking when I'm getting a new device :-D
The 13 Pro is prob one of the better devices i've had (the iPhone 8 was good too). The XS and 6S is at the bottom of the list mainly due to software bugs and HW issues (had 2 battery replacements on the 6S).

My main driver is a 13 Pro and regular 14 (workphone).
I have a numer of testdevices at work but never really use them much, its more to test new functionality, iOS releases and new configs.
