My New MacBook Pro from Santa help!

I just got a brand new macbook pro. I was a windows user for 15 years. I have a question. I just downloaded a program from the internet called spanning sync. I installed it but now I still have the icon of the install/uninstall sitting under the Macintosh HD. In windows that used to be somewhere else by default. What do i do with it? Do i delete it? Do I create a folder somewhere on the mac hd to put it in?

What do most others do with these icons?

Sorry if i sound like a dope, just want to ask now before I have a ton of useless stuff around making a mess of the most gorgeous Computer I ever laid eyes on.
