really weird that my new macbook arrived the same day as others were announced. mine is a 2.13ghz model and yes, i will use the optical drive and the firewire port so the new one would not be a match for my needs. good battery and everything works well. best of all it was more than a thousand dollars cheaper than the ones that were announced today. running 10.9. should i update to 10.9.5? don't think i'll spring for 10.10 yet.
this is my second macbook, the same date and processor speed. i don't need two of them but i want to keep one for a very long time so having an extra may be useful in the future.
