My new MBP is here.. migration assistant says it'll be ready in just 48 hours!

So I'm trying to transfer about 40gb from my old MBA to my new touch bar MBP and my only option is wireless.

I've left it going for about an hour via migration assistant and it's still quoting a lightning fast 48 hours to transfer that data. Nice.

Is this really how long it takes? And also.. is this using my internet data???

Maby buy a usb stick and copy it over, much faster

Get yourself an external drive, use Carbon Copy Cloner to back up your old computer, and then use that to restore the data to the new computer. At the end, you'll have an external drive to back up your new computer.
