greetings,
i've just bought a new samsung widescreen monitor 226bw which works fine with my new mac but will not work on my old os9 g4 on the analogue input..
can anyone help?
it comes on fine and shows os9.2 is booting up, but as soon as it reaches the desktop screen, it switches off, really annoying.. I've tried changing the resolution to just about anything, different Hz as well, nothing seems to work.
It must have the potential to work as its showing the boot up screen... i've checked the samsung site for drivers but they don't do any..
if anyone has any ideas please let me know,
many thanks,

The hardware may support the monitor but the OS doesn't have drivers to correctly display on the screen. OS 9 is too old. You won't find new stuff like that to work correctly on OS 9. I've had this issue on PC hardware. I've had to upgrade monitors or the drivers to get some things to work properly.
