My New Speakers :]

Just picked up the Bose Companion 3 Series II
got em from target this morning
i cant believe ppl talk sh*t about Bose
i think these speakers are wonderful
base is nice and boomy but not overpowerful
the highs are rediculous though
never heard anything better

any calibration or anything necessary for these speakers?
any hints???

im pretty much a noob when it comes to speakers

and dont tell that i should of bought altecs or something

No highs, no lows, must be Bose.

They're overpriced IMO. But if you like them, hey good for you. Congrats on the purchase. Any calibration is done mostly by ear. If you have a crossover on the sub set it to what you think sounds best. You can also mess with the EQ in iTunes.

Even my wife can hear this. We walked into the Bose shop over the weekend and she was shocked at how bad the 901s sound.

Bose does some decent stuff (wave radio, 3-2-1 system), but it's way over-priced.
