Apple hasn't emailed me an update or a tracking number, but I found my package via UPS using the reference trick (search on macforums if you haven't tried this yet) and my phone landed in anchorage this evening. I know where my phone is, even if apple doesn't

The trick they mean is going to the FedEx or UPS site and trying to track by reference, using your phone number.
