Well, I just got a Belkin wireless access point, and the range wasn't quite where I wanted it....after fussing around with the positioning of the antennas and the removal of various magnetic objects from around the AP, I was getting some more signal, but not quite enough for my liking...so I decided to build a reflector.
Using the plans here: http://www.freeantennas.com/projects/template/default.htm
I built a parabolic reflector to fit over one of the antennas...and all I can say is WOW. I put the AP at one side of my house and aimed the antenna towards the rest of the house...now I have good signal throughout the house. I'm very pleased with the results...especially since it took me 15 minutes, 5 pieces of tape, a piece of a cereal box and some aluminum foil. Go try it for yourself...it's highly recommended! (I'm posting this from ~300 feet away from the AP)
