My Passport WD/ PPC

Hallo to everyone,

I am a new in the forum and I have a problem.
I have a PPC G4 mac, Titanium, OS X 10.4.11 and I just bought today the WD My Passport Essentials 250Gb.
I connected it as it said but it doesn't make any connection with the mac.
It say's that the computer cannot read this hd.I tried the disc utility, it finds the Hd but it gives me no access for format, partition or any other utility.
I thought it was my usb port problem (1.1) but in the manual of WD it say's USB2.0 (1.1 as well!!!!!).
Can you please help me or do I have to give it back?

Can you post a screenshot of Disk Utility? It's possible you just got a dud.

Thanks but I found the solution!!!

It needed the WD drivers! I went on the support page and downloaded the OS X drivers, installed them and then my Mac could visualize and access the hard disc.
