My paviliion is messed up.

Yup...she is messed up.


The video is completely dead.

It started going white and red and green.

It has VIA Integrated graphics. Now it doesn't work. At All.

After that, I left the machine on to see if the video comes on. It doesn't.

THe CPU fan dies. and I restart it. It makes endless loud annoying beeps.

I restart it again. CPU fan still dead.

It starts giving off a bit of smoke and smells like burnt toast.\

Now, I call HP and they say that I need to fax or email them my recipt.

Which I cannot find. also, My scanner doesn't work.

So I am just going to say

Case # xxxxxx

Sorry, I have lost the recipt and my scanner doesn't work with my intel mac(secondary machine).

It looks like you're going to have to really go out of your way then if you want warranty repairs. I guess it's your responsibility or some crap like that. If it's worth repairing, you should see if there are any certified service centers nearby so you don't have to mail anything to them.

Do you think this hunkajunk is worth paying for to get fixed, or is it just cheaper, and easier to huck it off the roof?

If only the processor and mother board were not dead, this thing would have some potential. Until it got sort of abandoned and over infected with viruses, it was a zippy, flashy nice machine.

Is she worth saving? We may have to pay the original price of the computer, but is it worth it?

I have my mac, but this machine is a great machine.

If you lost your receipt, you're pretty SOL. Though you may get something out of HP if you complain enough.

How long ago did you buy it? Assuming it hasn't been that long if your still uner warrenty. You could try going back to the store you bought it from and see if they can pull up your reciet and print you a copy, I have done this many times. It just depends how long the stores keep records.
