My phone was working fine until the update

I had no problems at all before the recent update. I got service everywhere and didn't have the death grip issue. Now after the update, while I still don't have the death grip issue, I get service practically nowhere. I can't get on the web or check my email in about 70% of the places I was able to before. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?
