My iPhone 3G with 4.2.1 firmware won't turn on. It goes to the apple boot screen, shows the little apple then after 10 minutes the spiraling white circle comes on like it is trying to respring or go into safemode. i don't know what's wrong, the only thing i did was reinstall notified pro and it resprung into safe mode, so i restarted it as requested and it never fully went to normal or back to safe mode. I've restarted the phone many times, but no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can go into the files possibly while its trying to boot and get rid of notified pro or just rejailbreak

i would rejailbreak, but that would mean i would lose all of my data currently on my phone and all the stuff i've downloaded. But i've gone into the files using 'iFunBox' and deleted notified pro, yet it still is in this crazy boot up. and i've restarted it a few times.

Hmm I dont know what to tell you. You could always try to find where cydias list of installed packages is or something like that.
i would suggest starting fresh and getting pkg backup this time around.

Yeah, i think that would be best. Does pkg backup cost money?
