While I wait for my iPod Touch to arrive I figured I'd ask a question:

I'm a photographer and hope to upload my photos onto my new Touch. I was wondering if I can create multiple folders on the Touch (for example, a folder titled "College Football Photos," one titled "Family Portraits" and so on). Is this possible?

As well, once I upload photos can I change their order as they appear in the folder?

This is my first iPod Touch so excuse my unfamiliarity here...

Is there an app that functions as a photo album with various folders, etc?

You can include as many folders as you want...in iTunes, photos you indicate what the main folder is and it shows you all the sub folders and you simply check which ones you want loaded when you do the sync. For example under My Pictures I have 6 sub folders that load so iTunes simply crunches the pictures for iPod size and loads them in the iTunes pictures folder which is put on your device when you sync

To delete a whole folder just uncheck in iTunes and it will not be loaded at the next sync...to delete individual pics you will have to delete them in the source folder or create a duplicate folder on your computer and include it as a substitute and delete the pics in there if you want to keep them.

Thanks. That certainly sounds troublesome and quite inconsistent to how the iPod touch works for other media.

I will certainly try that.
