Hi all. So I had this phone for around five weeks now. The last week it’s suddenly reboot itself under normal use (not when idle). When inside an app I get black screen and then reboot to Apple logo. Several apps this have happened in. I’m wondering if this is an software problem? Anyone else have reboots? I think I got it after 13.2 but if its software Or just a coincidence that my phone start to reboot after the update I don’t know.

Only way to know for sure is to perform a full reset back to its brand new state.
I don’t see why that should tell for sure if it’s an software issue or not? Because even with a full reset I would still have the same software? But I really don’t know this tho.

It can happen with all versions of iOS and does. Not often though
Yeah. I just searched and browsed this forum notes and have seen several posts here regarding the same issue with iPhone 11 but without any solutions. So it’s apparently an issue going on. I guess I have no other option than either replace it with a new or wait until an update to fix it. Apple just run a diagnostic test on my phone online that told I don’t have hardware issue...

Because it’s far more likely that one of your apps would cause this issue than iOS. If this is an issue with iOS, the issue would be much, much more widespread. It could be a compatibility issue with an app that’s not fully optimized for iOS 13. But like I said, only way to know for sure is to reset the phone, especially since your phone had not been exhibiting this behavior when you first got it.

I see. Well, I use the same apps now as I did before 13.2 update and they are all updated. Maybe they are not fully optimized but the strange thing is that this happens in several apps like safari, chrome, YouTube, several bank apps etc. if it was only one app...

This is why you should restore the device and use as new for a few days to see if it reoccurs. If not then you know for sure it was a software glitch. If it does reoccur then take it to Apple because that’ll indicate a hardware issue.

That sounds like a botched update to be honest.

Yes, I hope it’s just the update that cause the problem. I don’t have any experience with Apple support and their online diagnose tools but they run it while I talk with them yesterday and they say my hardware was fine... I guess they know what they talk about. What worries me a bit is that I see several others have the same issue but many of them had the issue on the previous iOS version also. Some are suggesting ram problem. Well, I guess I try a reset. Btw, if I do a reset like this, is it necessary to also sign out of iCloud and turn off “find my phone”?
