I am thinking about a dual boot machine. Right now I have a 256ssd in main drive and my 500gb hdd on my late 2011 MBP. I know I need to put optical drive back in to install windows. My question is how should I install windows? Put it on the 500 GB hdd?

If you use Windows frequently I would put it on the SSD if possible and stuff like videos, music, and software you don't use often on the harddrive.

do i need the optical bay in or can i use an external DVD drive?
