The reviews are pretty good. The today show loved it. I just wish they had done this on FRIDAY instead of today.

This is going to create a LOT more competition to order tomorrow night. :(

See Apple should have done more stuff like the Today show. Sure it's just PR and fluff but that's exactly the point right now. Don't give it to Nilay Patel who's been critical from day one. There'd plenty of time for convincing the doubters. Right now shoud be more about as good of first impressions as possible.

My only complaint about these reviews is not *one* reviewer stated their wrist circumference!

Sheesh, haven't these guys been paying attention to our forums! :p

Poor Nilay.

We need critical reviews.

Critical not crap. His review was crap. He says he wouldn't wear the milanese loop because it would look "ridiculous". Ben Bajarin says it's the most comfortable watch band he's ever owned. Personally I think Patel has an oversized ego and has turned the Verge into nothing better than Gizmodo or Buzzfeed.

The strap comes down to personal preference and is irrelevant. It was a minor footnote in a 10 minute video review. I'll concede that Nilay did take a personal approach instead of remaining objective, but there were some valid points to consider- such as some performance issues (which he did mention Apple said they're working on it), and how 3rd party applications need more nuance in their notifications (some appear to have an all or nothing approach).

The reactions in this forum make me believe that some would have been happier if the Verge glossed over any issues like they usually do with Apple products.
