Just got this yesterday for my mum  !

She asked for an easy to use camera (she is a mum remember!). It cost £70, and came with a 2GB Secure Digital Card.

My first impression of the camera was that its REALLY light, like really light. According to my trusty UltraShip55 it weighs (w/Battery & Memory) 196G (7 Ounces). Pretty light, don't you think? The build quality also seems pretty good. I should imagine it could take a few knocks.

I removed it from its packaging, and inserted the two (supplied) AA batteries, at this stage I had not inserted the 2GB Memory Card. I simply pressed the power on button and within 3 seconds I had a menu, asking what language I spoke, I just pressed OK for english and then up came a preview and a cross hair. Just TEN seconds and I was ready to go! I pressed and held down the shutter button and it automatically focused and chose to put on the flash, the picture was of high quality (only 3 would fit in the 10MB memory card) when I synced it to iPhoto, with crisp and accurate colours. The focus and the automatic flash particularly impressed me, you can hear (and see) the lense moving before you take a shot.

The camera is 6.3 Megapixels, with a 3x Optical and 6.2x Digital zoom. It also has an impressive 2.5" screen, with vivid colours.

The camera defines 'Point and Shoot'. The focus, flash, shutter speed, everything is done for you, instantly. Just press and hold the trigger, and boom the pictures taken. Or, for slightly better shots, press the trigger once with the crosshair aimed at the subject, let it lock onto the subject and THEN take the photo.

All together, my mum and I are very impressed with this camera. Especially its ease of use, it really is a joy to use. It can also be used as a video camera, but dissapointingly it cannot be used as a webcam, it also has no microphone. It does however come with a cable to hook it straight up to your TV for instant slideshows.

91/100 from me on this. Its a really nice, simple-yet-effective camera.

Also, first time using iPhoto (Lol, RLY) - Well done :apple: !
