Just downloaded an app I found useful that I thought Id share with others. I think apps like this deserves props for solving a big problem. If you are like me with several thousand to several hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram, you know how much of a pain in the ass it is to manage the negative comments, sometimes a little too hateful especially if you have your kids tuned to these comments.
Previously to keep my IG page clean i needed to daily and sometimes even multiple times a day go through and delete any negative comments on my recent photos and videos to ensure that new customers are not getting scared away. This triggered me to do some research, since we all know that there is an app for everything.
So i did and found Censorgram. Once downloaded, you have to log in with your Instagram ID and Password, There was a little learning curve but after i googled Censorgram i quickly found out exactly what this app was and how powerful and helpful it could be.
OK so here's a semi-detailed breakdown of each tab from the main menu and what i got out of it:
main menu>keyword>delete i had the ability to enter ANY and i emphasize ANY keyword, phrase, emoji, etc. to be deleted from my IG page for up to 30 days of posts.
main meun>delete and Ban same as above but banned user.
main menu>user>delete i could add any user to have their comments always deleted if posted, but they could still view my IG page.
main menu>user>delete and ban after adding a user here all their comments were removed and they were banned from my IG page. I did not have to use the '@' symbol since after i entered the user it was inserted.
main menu>hashtag>delete here you can enter any hashtag keyword that you would like removed from your Instagram page. I found out that you do not need to add the # symbol before the keyword. It will still scan and delete.
main menu>hashtag>delete and ban same function as above but will ban any user using your saved keywords.
Scan By Photo pretty self explanatory, once your pictures load in this tab you can select up to 5 photos (red border after touching) to be scanned immediately.
Scan Intervals One of my favorite functions with this app. Here you have the ability to set scan intervals to run every 1, 3, 6, 12, or 24 hours; any or every day of the week; and today, 2day, 7days, 14days, 21days or 30 days of previous photos or videos you have posted.
Notification Censorgram also provides you the ability to receive push or email notifications for the following; Every Scan Interval, End of Day Report or End of Week Report. I did notice a very nice table when I had email notifications on. It contained the comment, who posted it, action taken by Censorgram and the reasoning for the action. Pretty neat.
Reporting this tab shows bar graphs and the number of comments that were deleted and users banned. This graph shows Today, Weekly and Monthly. Its good to see when you are running a business to see how much negative content has been removed.
Offline this is the power looking button on the bottom part of the main menu. Took me a minute to figure this out but when 'Offline Mode' is ON (button is green) Censorgram will scan according to your set scan intervals. When 'Offline Mode' is OFF (button is red) set scan intervals are not active. I highly suggest that this always be on!
I think that this is a great app and can and benefit almost anybody. It has already helped me not only as a business owner but as a parent to help protect my children from online threats and hate.
