I believe that it will, in fact, be upgraded to 16 GB of flash storage and upgraded to the 3G network. I believe it to be announced at Macworld and available absolutely no later than June. I can see Jobs announcing this product like the iPod Touch and releasing it a month and half later. If not, it will be no later than June. My rumor.

When the new iPhone comes out, do you think existing owners would be able to change their tariff onto the new phone, or would we have to pay a cancellation fee and have to pay for a new phone?

I dont know how other countries do it, but in America you would just have to re-agree to another 2-year contract.
