it is not my honor to report that my screen just turned in to the most qualified need-to-be replaced unit. it happened after visiting apple's iphone trailer site but i doubt if that's the cause.

And You Think This Is Bad?!

Welcome To The Ultimate Failure

I am taking it to the store today......

okay I think this might not be the physical screen but...yeah I am now very very disappointed in ipod touch...what's happened to you, apple?!

Did you try restarting the iPod?
thanks for the advice:)

restarting as in resetting? or the top button? I have tried syncs, top buttons, and retries to play it...all don't work...don't want to reset just yet because of hour long sync time required...

I was talking about holding the top button and powering down. Also be sure to try another video. As last resort restore.

Mine did that once, but i just turned it off and powered it back up and it worked fine. try that

No no, hold down the home and hold buttons at the same time for like 8 secs. Itll do a hard reset.

Did you turn it off and then back on?

Meaning - holding the top button down until it prompts you to turn it off and then sliding it to the off position?

thank you all...it was just too scary...

but by the way, will we have to deal with this down the road? i sure hope not.

if a restart fixes it then it almost definite thatits a software issue and update should fix it I hope they fix safaris crashes too.
