Hi all. Wanted to share my SellYourMac experience in case someone might be considering using them to sell a Mac.
I had a base model 2015 MBA that needed a battery replacement, but was otherwise in mint condition. I considered a trade with Apple, but their response was they'd gladly recycle it for me. I wasn't expecting much out of it, but I figured it had to have some value beyond recycling. So I tried SellYourMac. They made me an offer, and once I accepted it, they emailed me instructions on how to prepare my MBA to send it to them, and included a PDF label to print off. I went to FedEx, got a box, printed and attached the label, and shipped it.
SYM emailed me notification it had been shipped. They received it three days later, and emailed me to let me know it arrived. The following day, they emailed me again to let me know my machine had been wiped of all information for my personal safety (I had already wiped it before sending it in). Two days later, they sent me a final email saying that my MBA had passed their 20-point process, and the check for what they quoted me was on the way. I should have it in hand early next week.
I found the whole process very simple, and their communication throughout every step of the process was very much appreciated. If you have a used Mac to sell, my experience with SellYourMac was five-star. Recommended!
