In previous versions of iPhoto when viewing a single image, pressing the 'Esc' key used to exit single image viewing mode and would return you to viewing all of the thumbnails of the given album or event you are looking at, and pressing 'Esc' again would bring you out of a given event and back into the list of all of your events.
It was a way to sequentially drill back down/back out of the hierarchical order of things. I know you can press the spacebar to bounce back and forth between single image and thumbnail view, but 'Esc' no longer lets me exit a given event to view the list of events like it used to.
Even worse, when viewing a video, spacebar plays/pauses the video and as such, there is no keyboard shortcut to exit viewing a video to return to the list of thumbnails. You should obviously be able to hit Esc to minimize a given video and return to thumbnail view.
