My Spotlight Doesn't Work Properly

My dictionary is synced to my spotlight, so when I type in a word, it defines it. but now it doesn't.

It also loads only a few icons of the files I'm searching.

I have an  MacBook. (2008)

Can anyone help me?

Try reindexing Spotlight.
