Got a free 2009 MBP from someone because a drink had been spilled on the keys and they were so sticky it was nearly impossible to type more than brief emails (used it for surfing and non-typing things).

Suddenly today it works like the keys were never sticky.

I didn't do anything to fix the problem.

The only variable I can think of is the weather - it has just changed to spring-like, and thus is more humid as of three days ago.

Any other ideas as to why the keys are no longer sticky?

Thx.

Over a year later and the keyboard still generally works fine. Once in a while it's a bit sticky but otherwise it's fine.

Just want to pay my respects to Ricky sticky keyed MacBook before I get into my brother this week. So long old pal.
