Hey guys, I have the Mario Dock icon and think its great. But I want a Super Mario World Mario dock icon now and there is none so I figured it be great to create my own.

Now I understand how the Adium Dock icons work, but I don't know how best to capture the frames of SuperMarioWorld Mario. Any suggestions?

I thought there was a way to dissect a game ROM of SMW to find the graphics but I have not tinkered with anything like that since back in the ResEdit days. Again, suggestions on how to get the exact frames of SMW Mario?

Well I've done it!

It probably wasn't the most efficient approach but the results aren't half bad. I used Snapz Pro to capture a movie of me playing the SMW ROM file. Then took screen shots of the frames I needed of Mario Running.

Put these files into the Dock icon file and voila.

Here's the file in case people want it, it is currently only hacked for the running Mario, otherwise its still the original SMB mario file.

EDIT: Guess I can't attach that file.

Looks like I'm the only one excited about this, but that's fine. I uploaded my Super Mario World dock icon to Adium so perhaps people will start using it often.
