I wonder why Steve didn't respond saying something like this.

We're investigating right now, but it's likely a software issue. Meanwhile kindly avoid touching that particular spot.

Why didn't Jobs say that? Wouldn't have caused that much trouble. :confused:

But people this is the real world, and a large group of people. Even Apple employees are capable of making a mistake. (Even a big one.)
Nothing holds you back from returning the phone. So i suggest you do that until there is a major software/hardware update that fixes this.
Unless of course you're patient enough to wait for some kind of update or hardware replacement. Because in the end we will all know that this wont continue.
Return your iPhone if you are concerned and sit back and relax, just pretend the release date was delayed for a month.
I mean the iPhone cant be the only thing that has your attention. Although it can be hard to ignore that piece of signal-less beauty.

What is your take on this whole situation?
