My take on the next gen iPhone

Edit, Lol. I put my original post back.

I just quickly put this together to represent some ideas I think would be nice in the iPhone.

Take note:
- Large home button that supports gestures (like the pre)
- Front facing camera
- Raised speaker like hinted
- "Camera?" button as hinted
- Smaller bezel (like MacBooks)
 
I agree that it looks terrible, and if that really is what the phone looks like, no matter what the other improvements are, I'll be buying a current gen.

If you think Apple is going to add a camera button, you're crazy. Not going to happen. If Jobs got his way, there would be NO buttons.

And I dont' know what the obsession is with the front facing camera. Why do you need to video chat from your phone? Seriously, I don't understand this. If Apple adds one, I doubt I'll ever even turn it on. Seems like a waste to me. It's a phone, not a computer.

you didn't even use the leaked bezel in it. It will not look like this. I'm glad too, it looks pretty silly. Much too square. You know Apple only does rounded corners, those arn't rounded enough.

Meh symmetry isn't always good. The camera on the back of all iPhones isn't centered. :p

I like this rendering though. I just think people don't like it because it's way different than what they're used to.

I actually like it.

And I love the new home button that handles Pre like gestures.

Maybe while they are add it, they can allow apps to run in the background. :D
 
should be interesting, i'll get one regardless, test it out, if i'm not satisfied i'll wait for an unlock and then sell it on ebay and use my 3g
 
Don't be too put out by the response, the community here can be harsh with things they find even slightly wrong.
 
Great. The OP's family just informed me that he's committed suicide over comments in this thread. Hope you can live with yourself after this!

On a serious note, does the large home button at least work like the current one? If it's touch-based, it's going to be impossible to do a hard-reset in case of non-responsiveness.

LOL, to the OP why don't you just make it bigger and say it's. Mockup of the up and.coming tablet. Still hidious. LOL
 
It looks better than the Palm Pre, but that mock up doesn't come close to anything I think Apple would release.
