My trackpad is messed up. How do I fix it?

Feels very sticky. Hard to double click or drag and select text, etc. Scrolling works fine but its the clicking issues. What can I do?
 
And what exact Mac and Mac OS X version do you have?

Check to see if your battery is puffed. Puts pressure on the trackpad...
