On my iBook G4 my track-pad fails now and then. Usually when I restart the laptop it goes back to normal sometimes not. I wanted to know if anyone had any ideas as to what is happening. Also what is the keyboard command to go to the menu (for instance the blue apple) without having to use the mouse. This would help when my trackpad goes down so I can restart without pulling the battery (ouch ).

CONTROL-F2 should get you to the Menu Bar. As for the trackpad, you can reset it by holding your palm over it for five or so seconds. Hopefully this helps. :)
