My volume down button of all things quite working. Thought that was quite odd. My iPhone is otherwise perfect and has been durable even with the black and ill be quite upset if I get a refurb that starts rubbing off the exterior.

Your concerns are valid, but don't deserve a whole thread. You'll get a replacement. If it's scratched, put up a fuss and tell them you won't accept it.
