Hi,

Three months after I posted my problem here. Apple replaced the upper case with New one, because of another problem which is My trackpad not recognized any click, but tap works. A 10 months later, i noticed the "Aging" body appear again, and also my trackpad not recognized any click anymore . I planned next month, to repair this machine. hopefully apple will replace the upper case again.

I always worried, what caused this thing happen every year. . ?, I don't have time to handle same problem for the every year. it just not worth it.

thats pretty bad, but nothing compared to my original MBPs ware ;)

it sucks that it rubs off eventually :(

get a case for it?

yes, incase hardshell, but i always take it off if i'm at home.

Maybe it was the hardshell that caused the rubbing? Does the shell cover that area or do you rest your palms/wrists there alot? If it's the shell you may get some "reparations". (rice krispie treats maybe)

Nice Family Guy reference there.

That's some odd looking wear. The only way I could see the incase shell causing that is if something got trapped in that little gap at the edge that was corrosive.

That's kind of unusual. I've still got a near two year old MBA that's been used heavily by me and now someone else and it doesn't exhibit any signs of pitting or corrosion. I thought that went out with the PB's.

Could it be caused by the incase?

I've read reports about incase scratching MBPs in the past, not sure if that's still an issue (or was a major problem to begin with)

Yes, i'm :(..

Are u wearing a watch or bracelet? Maybe that would cause the wear...

I know I always remove my bracelet when I use my MBP.

no, i'm not wearing a watch or bracelet, i always rest my wrist alot at that area. :(.

I'm pretty sure it's because of your incase. Considering the fact that you take it off when you come home. Assuming you come home quite often. ;)

i think not incase, because the left side still normal, and this happen only at right side. :(

the EXACT same thing happens with my aluminum iMac! And, thing is, its only a few months old! UGH
