Hey guys i don't know if im doing this to vent or to ask suggestions, but i just found out earlier this evening that my uncle passed away. It was out of no where and quite a shock. He was my dads only sibling and i guess im in shock right now and don't really know what to do...

Not extremely close but close enough to be very upset with it. I think i feel more bad for my dad and my grandparents..

Yeah... I know how you feel. My mom has no other siblings other than my uncle who has cancer right now.
If he died it would tear my mom, grandpa, grandma, and great gradma apart.

my mom passed away about 2 years ago.....and the best advice i can give you is the follow....

"Live every single day from now on as you would if your uncle is still here. (physically) He will always be there with you emotionally and spiritually."

If you don't know what to do with yourself right now, you could always just support your grandfather and anyone else until you kinda shake out of it.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

This might be a weird thing to say, but: mourn. When my uncle died (I was just a teen then), I didn't and I've had problems ever since (like I start crying about it in unconnected circumstances). Of course, it's not the cause of the problems, but failing to mourn can bring about a lot of guilt and other feelings. Also, since you weren't so close, make sure you are supportive of your dad. Parent's aren't as invulnerable as you think.

Sorry to hear about your loss , just be there for your dad and grandparents.
Any help you can give them will be of great help at this time.

Hang in there.

I don't know what you're going through, because I've never had to deal with a family member passing But, my condolences to you and your family. Just remember that he's in a better place, and doesn't have to deal with all of the crap in this world anymore.

Don

My sincere condolences to you and to your family as well

I hope my avatar would make you smile, just for a sec.. I hope

Thank you all so much!
its the first time that i have lost a very close family member so this is all new to me. Trying to stay strong for my dad and grandparents is tough but i know thats what i need to do right now.
Thanks guys for your support.
