Appt 1: 4/10/15, 5:45pm, the rep was fine, as I only asked to do one thing; try the 42mm silver aluminum sport with the Milanese loop. He quickly told me that they only had the 38mm, and showed me that, and tried to put it on my arm, which wasn't even close to working. However, he was nice, and I got a chance to at least see how it would look, just not on. The thing that sucked was that I heard after my appt, that they actually had the 42mm, but the rep didn't bother to ask anyone or check.

Appt 2: 4/10/15, 8pm (wife's appt), my wife wanted the same combo; but the 38mm version. The rep immediately told her they can't swap bands, although the previous rep said it was ok, and did it for me. Then she quickly told me wife that the Milanese loop "wouldn't work " with the silver aluminum . I told her that Apple advertised that all of the bands worked with all of the watches. She looked at me with a very irritated and confused look, and didn't say anything. Another rep saw this, and immediately came over and told her the same thing that I said, and took over himself. He let us swap bands, and was very pleasant about it.

At this point, my wife was satisfied, as she got to see the exact combo that she wanted, in the exact size.

The next day, (today), the wife and I had to run some errands this morning, and we were near another mall with an Apple Store. I decided to get there before they open and try to try the 42mm for just 5 min or less. The store opened at 9:55am, and I explained what I wanted to do to the rep, he promptly told me I had to come back at 6:45pm for an appt. I told him, there are no customers in this store besides me. He told me that customers that have appts would be there at 10. I looked around, there were 7 store reps standing around with no customers, and all I asked for was 5 min, and was again, turned away.

I finally was able to get a 12:45pm appt at a 3rd Apple Store, but I was worried with how my experience would be there. Well, it was as close to perfect as could be. I told the rep that I simply wanted to try the 42mm silver aluminum with the Milanese loop, and he smiled and said sure. I was surprised. He then opened his drawer, and saw that he only had the 38mm( here we go again). However, he apologized, and went around to each try-on station, to locate one. He never found one, and then he asked a few reps. He came back, apologized again, and then said, let's try the 42mm space gray aluminum with the Milanese to give you an idea of feel and size, then we'll try the 38mm on my wife to see how the colors match. I was very impressed in his effort and willingness to accommodate me. He didn't rush us, and even showed us a few more watch combos that we didn't ask to see.

So while I never got a chance to try the 42mm silver aluminum with the Milanese, I got a very good feel and idea for it, and I came away, very impressed with this Apple Store's rep's customer service. I was just previously amazed at the negative service I had experienced previously. One rep not even trying to see if they had what I asked for, another telling us we can't swap, and that it wouldn't even work, and then another store with absolutely zero customers at the time, not even giving me 5 min of their time.
