So a few weeks ago i was trying to listen to my iTunes and I go to raise my volume and I got this weird malfunction

Picture1-2.png

(incase you don't see it there's a slash at the bottom of the volume)

The only time I hear anything noise is during the start up, but after that I have to plug in head phones.

I'm hoping there's a way I can fix it myself, otherwise new internal speakers will be 200+ since my warranty expired.

any help is greatly appreciated, thanks guys

I currently have my audio going to my surround sound system. When I forget that I can't change the volume from the keyboard, I get that exact symbol.

You can still hear sound though right? Like is it muted?

Nah i can't hear anything besides durring the startup.
Other than that, it's completely muted - i havent tried setting up speakers to see if that will change anything?
