My watch not clearing my iMessages notifications

Hi, since I last updated my Apple Watch my messages notifications are not clearing once I read the messages on the phone, this used to work perfectly before. I've checked settings and I have the Duplicate iPhone option selected, but it's not working.
Anybody else experiencing this? Is it possible to solve this?

Try restarting your Watch. If that doesn't work unpairing it and repairing it should.

Tried both and it is still not working correctly
