Hi,
I'm running a Macbook mid 2010 with up to date Mavericks. As a back up (until recently) I used an external 2TB Western Digital My Book.
Wanting to replace my internal HDD with a 250MB SSD, I put the SS evo840 ssd in the external drive enclosure and ran carbon copy. After replacing the 2TB drive it registered as 250MB and continues to do so. My original single partition won't show up, I assume because it's larger than 250G. I have about 800G on the drive. It appears in disk utilility, but not in finder
Tried it in a recent Macbook pro, same deal. (the SSD would only boot externally by the way, so that's still an open issue)
Ran a recovery scan, which definitely did not see all the files.
There's some stuff on there i can't do without. Is it possible to teach the 2TB drive to return to its former size, or, if not, to recover ALL the files?
cheers
