Hey everyone,

Web pages for me (safari) are constantly sluggish. They don't feel super smooth or fast and I know that hasnt always been the case.

My speeds should be fine

But, webpages such as this one, don't load at once. Scrolling is choppy and it just feels like it's lagging. Any recommendations?

Try a site with no ads, like a school

And since it is a laptop you can take somewhere else and see how it works there. It may be something in your environment. People have reported issues that were due to their router, etc and had to upgrade them to the latest firmware or even swap them out to get them to work well with new computers and/or phones.

Web page performance has often poor relationship to computer performance - but if it is slow computer with slow graphic card, it may have impact also.

1. Try different browsers first, that will tell you if it is Safari or not (Chrome or Firefox are actually really nice).
2. If those are fast, try removing all extensions from Safari and resetting Safari (Mr. Google knows).
3. If that does not help, reinstall OSX/MacOS. It sometimes helps, I had OSX upgrades which resulted in less that perfect performance and after reinstall, all was back to "perfect".
4. And if this is not only Safari, check disk using "Disk Utility.app" and later with some speed test (Black Magic speed test.app). Just in case there is issue reading the data from disk.

It would help if you told us
- which Mac you are using and what year it was made
- the OS version you're using...
