I took lots of input, and I completley re-did every ounce of the site, take a look through stuff, and tell me if you find problems, or what you like. Thanks everyone!

Kurt:

Great job. This version is a lot more clear and easy on the eyes. I'm glad you stuck closer to the same designs and got rid of those crazy rollovers in the portfolio.

The only thing that bothers me about this one is on the main page, that bottom line of links/information... there just seems to be too much going on with those at one time. My focus gets lost easily. One way that I would suggest to fix that is to make it more like Apple's "Hot News Headlines" where one item is displayed at a time (www.apple.com middle of the page). That and some pages don't have titles!

Keep up the good work!

Next thing you should do is look at validating your source :D

Only one objection on my part: too many animated gifs on the front page.

To me, there's too much motion going on there to pick out and try to understand what the banners are for. At the least, slow them down a bit and try to offset them so they're not all going at the same time.

[edit - Ha! Jinx, mnkeybsness! :p]

Those arn't animated gifs! Those are flash animations! As a general guidline, try not to use flash unless you really need to or are making an entirely (or mostly) flash based site. At least add a plugin check script. Some of the rollovers wern't apparant to me and were confusing. When I clicked on history, I thought at first that I had gone to the wrong page. Otherwise, a great looking site.

I definatley agree with you guys. I like to be able to display what has been recently updated or what people should check out besides whats just in the news update section. I think the way apple does it is nice, I picked up the whole animated flash thing from someone a while ago, I thought it was kinda a nice way to do it, but your rite by having too many at once. How could I build something like apple uses on their site? Or what are some other ideas? I would like to have something visual for people that would rather look at something then have to read through comments. I find myself not looking at apples ticker very often. Thanks Guys!

I CLEARLY posted 3 minutes before you did. :D

But we composed at the same time...:p

Have you tried having an animation cycle through different content and change the links, Kurt? That could give you something visual w/out having too much going on.

Kurt, i remember the first site and infact i was the one that commented, sorry i didn't put in any input but it seems you don't need any really from me, your current new design looks great and flows well, keep up the good work. :)

what exactly do you mean by animation cycle? And I have one more question to everyone, what is the fastest way to add like 30 pictures to a flash movie, I find myself spending a VERY long time adding all the pictures, and adding effects to each one. Any help would be great. Thanks again everyone!

When I say have the animation cycle through the content, I mean for it to display different content at different times. You can set up each animation you have now as a separate movie and then have the flash file randomly display them.
