Current she got 6S Plus she skip 7

She doesnt want buy new iphone this yrs ... But after join macrumors and really make me buy for her this yrs / and i make preorder already ... her phone 6s plus old enough
even she continue with that phone and apple force upgrade to ios 11 then still same boat

i know alot people in here run same case like me /

hey titrau. I have to say no.
for me not worth it over the 6s+. still going strong.
the same front design for 4 years is super boring

btw how did u manage to send 500+ messages in one month? i was not able to reach that number in the last 7 years :)

If she has no interest in the iPhone X, then the 8+ will serve her phone needs for the next couple years.

I am using 6S Plus, like you say, it runs iOS 11 fine, but I do plan to get the X because I have went long enough without a new iPhone.

It sounds as though she was happy to keep the 6S Plus, the two of you will have to decide what to do.

I also concur that MacRumors encourages your Apple habit. The more I am here, the more stuff I want.

From every thing I have read there is definitely a nice improvement from the 6s+ to the 8+, that is actually what I am doing. At two yrs old which my phone is the battery life starts to really shorten, I don’t want the smaller X, I am hoping next year they come out with the Xs+

Titrau - My wife has a 6s and I have a 7+. Both of us are going for iPhone X. It is a business expense for us, so cost was not an issue. But for from a purely rational non tax point of view, I should be skipping the X, but we pass on our phone to our extended relatives so I don't feel so bad buying an iPhone X, which is not justifiable. But your choice of buying an 8+ is good if it is not going to tear into your budget otherwise a 7+ at a discounted price would be appropriate.

Nobody is forced to update. But let ur phone first finish indexing.

The 6plus was always plagued with 1GB RAM and the GPU being to weak for the pixels. Hopefully not again with the X and 3GB.

The 6s was a big improvement and iOS 11 runs smooth...

The 6 Plus was fairly close to underpowered with its native iOS 8. iOS 9 bogged it down real nice. I can't imagine it was better on iOS 10, and it definitely won't be better with iOS 11.

That said, the 6S/6S+ is a major, major, major spec/speed bump compared to the 6/6+. 6S/6S+ should handle iOS 11 far better than the 6/6+.

I traded in my 6s+ and got my new 8+ on Friday, I am absolutely loving it. The camera is amazing as well as the speed. I did upgrade the 6s+ on Thursday to IOS 11 and did not think it lagged and did like the new features which basically prepared me for the new 8. I am definitely glad I made the change to the 8+. I can wait a year for the X plus wait and see if they come out with a X+.
