Strangely, I only found this one thread on Hasbro's new product, and that thread was of November, with all the emotions running high on a product that no-one had seen, held, or tried out. Since then, it was released in the market, and never heard of again on this forum (at least I could not find anything). A few days ago, I bought the viewer at Target for $35.

I need to disclose that I am a 3D photographer, and I am a bit knowledgeable about the viewers for and ways to view 3D. Beware, I'm not into video, only stills, so the 3D video or game addicts may just stop reading here.

Okay, this viewer is simple (and therefore cheap), and it works with the iPhone 4. I assume it works just as well with the other Apple devices it is designed for. The good news (for me) is that one can make and view his own 3D content, and it doesn't even need an app (other than the iPhone's existing Photo Album app).

I checked out the My3D Presents... app (it requires a code that you will find on the viewer, and even if I gave you my code here, it wouldn't help, because you still wouldn't see it in 3D). Some of the existing content is just boring to me (mostly games), but then there are some fascinating photos, and some of the trailers of 3D movies are also quite entertaining. Those are animated, though. Some IMAX footage is also offered and works quite well on this little device.
BTW, wearers of prescription glasses can (actually: have to) keep them on to watch with this viewer. Otherwise, it would have to cost a multitude of its current price.

Below is just one 3D image I took and configured for viewing with the My3D viewer. If you upload it into your device's photo album and open it, you can see the depth of it come to life with the viewer. Having more such images in your album would require you to tap the forward or backward arrow with your pinky. While that is quite doable, an app that allows to insert foreign content and use their better UI would be appreciated. Hasbro, are you listening?
