So these past couple of days I've been watching fullscreen videos on YouTube, and they get minimized to the browser view because an application needs network access, and is asking me to either "Allow" or "Deny" it.

The only problem is, this message only flashes on the screen for a fraction of a second, and is presumably, granting itself access to my network. Is there any way I can figure out what application is doing this so I can disable it?

The message isn't up on the screen long enough for me to read anything, but I recognize it as an application asking for some sort of access that I can either allow or deny. This has been going on for about a week now and is really annoying.

For reference: I'm on a MBP running the latest version of Lion.
