A friend of mine recently bought his first iPhone, and the salesperson at the Verizon store installed this iPhone user guide app onto the phone (see photo). But I've never seen it on any other iPhone or even in the App Store. Anyone know where to get this particular app? As you can see, the app icon simply says "iPhone" on it. I checked the app store under User Guide and never saw this anywhere.

Thanks

Could just be a Verizon shortcut/app to the User Guide. My AT&T versions have always had the Guide installed to Safari as a preexisting bookmark.

Strange, because I opened it and it functions more like an actual app vs. a web shortcut. I don't know, maybe it is some kind of shortcut. I'm still mystified, though

That's the weird thing, that people don't know about a manual/user guide existing for their iPhone/iOS, as they do for pretty much any electronic device. But then most people that even get a manual or know about one still never really look through it or even remember to refer to it if they have a question or can't figure something out.

I remember when I got my 4S, which was my first iPhone, I looked over the user guide that was included in the packaging and it had some good info, but as you said most people don't bother to go through.

But now with the newer iPhones (not sure if this is the same for the newer iPads) that user guide is no longer included, instead it is in the bookmarks in safari and I'm sure most people don't even know it's there.
