MyTomTom can't see connected TomTom navigator

I'm running the latest "My TomTom" software for MacOS, now called "MyDrive".

I used to run the Windows version til recently when I migrated to the Mac platform. No problems then.

However, now, neither my Macbook Air nor my Mac Mini can detect the TomTom (VIA620) when connected.

It may be a hardware thing on the TT's side but before I send it back I want to be sure that it's not a software thing.

Just wondering if anyone here has had this problem and if so, what did you do to rectify it?
